Mangalore, Jul 21: The 14th Independence Cup football tournament by Dakshina Kannada (DK) Football Association will be inaugurated at Nehru Maidan, on Saturday July 24 at 9.45 am.
Commissioner of police (SP) Seemanth Kumar Singh and Mayor Rajani Dugganna will inaugurate the tourney.
Corporation Bank general manager N R Shet will preside over the function.
Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) accounts committee chairman and corporator Diwakar, international football player Masthan Ahmed, and A K Boards and Doors director A K Niyaz, will be the chief guests on the occasion.
DK Football Association honorary chairman D M Aslam, honorary secretary Mohammed Hussain Bolar, governing body member Vijay Suvarna, and honorary treasurer Anil P V were present at the press conference.
