Kasargod: Prime Accused in Palm-chopping Case Arrested

Kasargod, Jul 22: The policemen have arrested Younis, who reportedly played a major role in the incident in which a palm of a lecturer of Newman College Todupuzha was chopped off at Muvattupuzha some time back.

Superintendent of police of Ernakulam district, T Vikram, has confirmed that Younis has been arrested. He however, refused to reveal more details.

Sources said that Younis was nabbed while returning from Tamil Nadu, at Plakkad. The policemen believe that Popular Front of India activists were behind the palm-chopping incident.
