Udupi: Guru Poornima Celebrations on July 25

Udupi, Jul 24: Guru Poornima celebrations will be held at Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra, Harikhandige on Sunday July 25.

At 8 am, Guru Gayatri japa and Rudra abhishekha will be held at Guru Datta Peetha, followed by guru pada seva, collective Vishnu Sahasranama recital, bhajan and aarti.

For children, a programme of planting of saplings will be held to inculcate in them the urgent need for afforestation to protect our environment. At 6 pm, Datta paaduka will be taken out in a palanquin followed by a satsang led by Guruji Suresh J Pai, followed by bhajan and aarati.
