Sullia: St Brigid Church Celebrates Youth Day

Sullia, Jul 25: St Brigid Church here celebrated Youth Day at the school hall on Sunday July 25 to mark the diamond jubilee of the church.

The programme was inaugurated by Sr Janet, animator of youth. Addressing the audience she said that today’s youth are attracted to drugs and other bad habits. They need to fight this evil, she added.

Parish pastoral council secretary said that youth need to idolize freedom fighters and also effectively use the modern media to their advantage.

Fr Valerian Louis said that parish youth need to be more dynamic.

Vana Mahothsav too was celebrated by planting the saplings.

A training programme was also organized by parish pastoral committee. Roshan Madtha, Vittal, Anil Lobo Fermai and Wilma Modankap trained the youth on leadership and on mastering of ceremony.

Anita Mascarenhas compered the programme.

    Good going by youth from St.Brigid's church Sullia,the place where I had my childhood days.Thanks to the parish priest Fr.Valerian Louis for your support for this good cause.
