Mangalore, Aug 3: Professor Ummappa Poojary, associate professor, department of commerce from Sri Gokarnanatheshwara College has been elected as the president of Association of mangalore University Teachers (AMUCT) for the term 2010-12.

Poojary is also serving as the treasurer of State Federation of College Teachers, FUCTAK.

While Dr  N Udayachandra of teh department of commerce and registrar 9evaluation). Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College, Ujire has been elected vice-president, Dr Dennis Fernandes of department of history of St Aloysius College is the general secretary. Professior Vishwanath Achar, department of economics, Besant Evening College has been elected the treasurer.
