M'lore: Seven-year-old Murder Case at Mudipu - Ira Solved - Accused in Judicial Custody

Mangalore, Aug 3: The seven-year-old murder case of Venugopal Nayak and his car driver Santosh, who were shot to death at Mudipu - Ira in 2003 has been cracked.

The arrested has been identified as Lokesh Bangera (45). The accused has been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody. Lokesh after shooting Nayak and his car driver had been absconding so far with the police on a look out for him.   

Rural police station sub-inspector Prakash and his team arrested Bangera and handed over his custody to Konaje police station for further investigation. Apart from being involved in robbery cases at jewellery shops in Pune and Hyderabad, the arrested was involved in dacoity and arms possession cases and two murder cases at Goregaon.
