Moodbidri: Tempo Causes Death of Bike Rider

Moodbidri, Aug 17: Ashok (24), son of Achuta from Paladka, who was riding a motor bike, was killed at Khandige Darkas in Beluvai on national highway 13 on Monday August 16, in a road accident. As the driver of a tempo applied brakes and tried to turn his vehicle to the right, the tempo skidded and fell on its right side, crushing Ashok, who was approaching from the opposite direction.

Ashok was working as postman in Kantavar post office, and he had been transferred there just three months ago. He was coming to Moodbidri from Karkala. Ashok was critically injured in the accident, and died before being admitted to a hospital in Moodbidri.

Moodbidri policemen are investigating.
