Kasargod, Aug 18: Overlooking an order of Kerala High Court, a girl from the town continues to face threats from her community members to wear burqa, it is gathered.

Rihana, daughter of Abdul Rahiman, residing near Tagore College in Vidyanagar in the town, had earlier approached the state High Court, saying that she was being forced to wear burqa by some people, against her will.  The High Court had ordered that the girl be allowed to wear the clothes she wants to, and had asked the policemen to provide her protection against such threats.

On the basis of an earlier complaint filed by Rihana about such threats, the policemen had booked three people. The girl has filed another complaint now, alleging that a group of people, who arrived at her home in two cars on August 13, posed threats to her family members, warning them of disastrous consequences if Rihana continues to resist their demand for wearing burqa.
