Puttur: High School Teacher Killed in Accident

Puttur, Aug 18: Gururajappa (49), working as a teacher in the high school section of Kadaba government PU College in the taluk, lost his life in a road accident in Mysore on Monday August 16.

Gururajappa, a native of Samudra in Chitradurga district, was on a visit to Mysore to take part in the house warming ceremony of a friend. After attending the function on August 13, he met his daughter studying in Mysore on the night of Sunday. When he was returning to his residence in a motor bike of his friend, the vehicle skidded, and the teacher suffered severe head injuries. He was provided first aid in Mysore and shifted to a hospital in Bangalore, where he breathed his last on Monday.

He is survived by wife, a daughter and two sons. As a mark of respect, the PU college in Kadaba remained closed on Tuesday.
