Udupi: Education Institution Holds Campaign against Use of Plastic

Udupi, Aug 18:
A campaign against use of plastic was held in Kaup, near here, on Tuesday August 17, under the aegis of Vidhyaniketan Education Institutions.

K P Acharya, correspondent, Vidhyaniketan Education Institutions, inaugurated the campaign on Tuesday.

He urged the students to create awareness about the issue among their parents. 

Students and teachers began collecting plastic found all over the town locality and distributed leaflets among the shopkeepers and the public. The students also staged street plays to create general awareness against use of plastic. 

The students took an oath not to use plastic on the school campus.

Vidhyaniketan education institutions administrator Prof V K Udyavar, Pre-University College principal Santhosh Kumar, Vidhyaniketan Public School principal Vidhyadar Puranik, as well as teachers Jayabharati, James and Ravi were present on the occasion.
