Mangalore, Aug 23: In a strange case, the policemen, who took up investigation about the receipt of an obscene e-mail by a woman, found that her own boyfriend had sent it. He has been arrested, and sent to judicial custody.

The arrested person has been identified as Prakash Shetty (38), residing near Mannagudda in the city. He reportedly is in love with a woman working for a mobile phone company. Recently, he sent an obscene mail by using the e-mail id of the area manager of the said company. When the girl narrated the incident to him, Shetty allegedly instigated her to file a complaint against the area manager in question.

Accordingly, a complaint was lodged in Kadri police station. The policemen, who took up the investigation, found that Shetty himself had fraudulently obtained the password of the area manager, Daniel, and sent the e-mail in question to his lover. Shetty has since confessed to his mischief, and been remanded to judicial custody.
