Mangalore, Aug 23: Vishwa Vaidya Ayurvedashram, Vamanjoor here celebrated Onam with traditional gusto on Monday August 23.
The staff of the Ayurveda centre came together on this festive occasion and shared their joy. As the majority of the masseuses in the centre are from Kerala, the celebration had authentic flavour. All the
staff joined in to prepare the Onam sadhya and pookkalam.
The staff at the centre readied a traditional pookkalm with flowers and also a rangoli made out of Ayurveda capsules and tablets of varied colours. The rangoli was significant for Kerala and Ayurveda shares a
great bond for it is widely practiced in the god’s own country.
Finally a traditional lunch on plantain leaf was served with delicious food items of Kerala.
