Mangalore: Reckless Driving - Teenager gets Bail


Mangalore: Aug 24 (DHNS): The teenager who drove his SUV in a reckless manner killing two persons on the spot has been granted bail by the court while a case has been booked against his mother as the SUV is registered under her name.

It may be recalled that the teenager ran over two killing them on the spot near the KIOCL gate at Kuloor when they were waiting for the bus. The driver, a 9th standard student of Cambridge School was residing with his elder brother in Mangalore while their parents are staying abroad. Panambur Police Inspector Valentine D’Souza said that the police have seized the Scorpio.

    Its a clear picture of how careless the parents are.The spoilt son used to take his mothers car for his joy ride and this so called mother not aware of this.

    Seizing the vehicle is of no use, the boy's parents can afford to buy 10 more scorpios and put the public's life in danger.  As long as the accused is not punished, it will send a wrong message to all the underaged kids that they can do anything and get away with. My heart weeps for the families of the deceased, who were the only sons in their respective families.

    I agree with @akhtar. No photo or parents names have been published. Looks like the issue will vanish in thin air soon. Looks like the upbringing of this child is to be blamed.

    Strange, a real crime and no name or photo of the teenage criminal (one can call him so now) is given? Parents name actually, should be given here and not be shielded.
