Bangalore: Naxal Leader Believed Dead Might Have Escaped

Daijiworld Media Network – Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Aug 24: The police top brass now reasonably believes that naxal leader, Hosagadde Prabha, would have decamped before they could find her whereabouts, and that the story about her death had been planted with the covert motive of diverting their attention.

The policemen have reasons to conclude that the naxal leader, who was getting treated in a private hospital by giving a different name, fled from the hospital as soon as she came to know that the policemen are closing in on her. The policemen blindly believed the story about her death, and its intelligence failed to confirm whether she had died at the hospital in question.

The leader, who carries a reward of five lac rupees on her head, and faces over two dozen cases at different police stations in Malnad region, has remained elusive. The policemen, who had believed that the naxal movement in the Western Ghats would grow weaker with her death, are in for a shock.
