'I've been through Hell', says Tiger Woods Ex-wife

Los Angeles, Aug 25 (IANS/DPA):Two days after their divorce was finalised, the ex-wife of golfer Tiger Woods has spilled the secrets of their split, saying that her husband's string of infidelities put her "through hell".

Elin Nordegren told People magazine in an article published Wednesday that there was no truth to speculation that she had hit Woods on the night he crashed his car outside their Florida estate, the incident that sparked the revelations about his numerous extramarital affairs.

"There was never any violence inside or outside our home," said the Swedish-born Nordegren, 30. "The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous."

Nordegren said she had no idea her husband was cheating on her. "I'm so embarrassed that I never suspected - not a one. For the past three and half years, when all this was going on, I was home a lot more with pregnancies, then the children and my school."

"I've been through hell," said Nordegren. "It's hard to think you have this life, and then all of a sudden - was it a lie? You're struggling because it wasn't real. But I survived. It was hard, but it didn't kill me."

Reports have said that Nordegren could have received as much as $100 million from her split with the world's most famous golfer. But she declined to talk about the amount of the settlement, saying only that "money can't buy happiness or put my family back together."
