Kundapur: Man in pursuit of god jumps into rivulet

Kundapur, Jun 9: In an incident which happened at Herikudru on National Highway 66 near here, a person jumped into a rivulet from a bridge, saying that he was searching for god. The incident happened at about 9.30 pm on Tuesday June 8.

The person involved with this incident was Mahantesh (35) from Bagalkot district.

People passing by who noticed the incident informed Kundapur police immediately. They reached the spot and searched for the man. He was later found in the rivulet under an interior road after some time.

The man confessed that he jumped into the rivulet, searching for god. He appeared to be mentally unsound and the police got him admitted into the government hospital here.
