Udupi: Hejamady rural Congress committee distributes 300 food kits to poor families

Udupi, Jun 10: “It is human religion to reciprocate to the needs of people in times of difficulty with a humanitarian view. Congress workers should give first priority to the service of corona infected people,” said former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.

Sorake was speaking after inaugurating the programme of distributing 300 food kits to needy families of Hejamadi village by the Hejamady rural Congress committee.

District Congress chief secretary Y Sukumar, former ZP member Rolphy D’Costa, district youth Congress chief secretary Sooraj Hejamady, gram panchayat members Mohammed Kabeer, Nirmala, Fareeda, former gram panchayat president Subhash Salian, Kusuma Salian, Lydia Furtado, Kaup block Congress SC & ST committee president Keshava Salian, social worker Haji Shekabba K S, Hejamady youth Congress president Mohammed Iqbal, Hejamady women Congress president Reen Vinutha D’Souza, Congress leaders Abdul Azia, Mohammed Sharif and Dinesh Salian were present.

Rural Congress president Sudhir Karkera welcomed the gathering. Congress leader Sudhakar K compered the programme and rendered the vote of thanks.
