Mangaluru, Jun 12: Gurupura block Congress on Saturday June 12 protested against the central government for the rise in fuel price on the tag line ‘100 not out’ at Vamanjoor petrol pump.

Former MLA Mohiudeen Bava said, "The rise in fuel price has hit the common man hard. It’s a record-breaking price that has touched the 100 mark. When the price of fuel in our neighbouring states is lesser, why is it not so in our country? The government should immediately turn down the fuel price rise. It is unfair to increase fuel price during this pandemic where the common man is affected by it."

The statewide '100 not out' protest for fuel hike will be conducted for five days at petrol pumps, all constituencies, gram panchayat and taluk panchayat levels.

Gurupura block Congress president Surendra Kambli, District Congress labour cell president Lawrence D'Souza, Tiruvail ward president Rajkumar Shetty, Taluk panchayat member Sridhar, Sunil and others were present.
