Mangaluru, Jun 15: Mudipu Block Congress staged a protest against the BJP-led union government over hike in fuel prices in the country.

Speaking during the protest 'Petrol Not Out 100' against the union government and against the state government for hiking electricity tariff at Mudipu junction, Mudipu Block Congress president Prashanth Kajava said, "The working class which earns Rs 7,000-Rs 8,000 a month, have to spend Rs 2,500 for fuel. The BJP leaders and MP who protested against the then Congress government for hiking fuel price, are not to be seen now.”

He also said that the ‘Andhbhakts’ are not able to understand the problems of the common man. “The country will not prosper due to such people. Prices of essential commodities are rising. In the coming days, Congress will hold severe protests against this,” he said.

KPCC Minority wing vice president Abdul Jaleel Montugoli, Bantwal taluk panchayat former president Chandrahasa Karkera, former member Hyder Karangala zilla panchayat former member Mamatha Gatti, Nasir Nadupadavu, Arun D’Souza, Sharif Chembethota, Ganesh Naik, Muralidhar Shetty Morla, Sameer Fazir, Padmanabha Naringana, Hanif Chandahitlu, Hanif Chandahitlu, Rehaman and others were present during the protest.
