Mumbai: CM Thackeray visits Raj Bhavn to extend wishes on birthday of governor

Mumbai, Jun 17: On the birthday of governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray visited Raj Bhavan and extended greetings.

A cold war is brewing between the CM and the governor over the appointment of 12 nominated members to the legislative council. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena secretary Milind Neverkar also met the governor.

Former CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis also met the governor. The names of 12 members were recommended to the governor by the Shiv Sena NCP and Congress coalition government. The term of 12 members of the upper house ended in June 2020. The legislative council of the state has 78 members.
