Puttur, Sep 3: A teenager suffering from mental depression torched himself after dousing himself with kerosene on Thursday September 2.
The boy, who committed suicide in this fashion, has been identified as Sudhakar (17), son of Venkataswamy, residing at Karmayi CRC Colony in Aittoor village in the taluk. Sudhakar, a seventh standard student of Karmayi government school, used to suffer from depression.
On Thursday September 2, he had accompanied his parents during the rubber tapping, but returned home early. He was alone at home when he torched himself and lost his life.
