Mangalore: Fifth Instalment of ‘Nadige Namaskara’ Series Set for Release

Mangalore, Sep 25: A function is being organized at Kannada Bhavana of Kantavara Kannada Sangha at 3.30 pm on Sunday September 26, for the release of the fifth instalment of the Sangha’s ambitious series, ‘Nadige Namaskara’. The series aims at bringing out a number of works meant to enrich literature and culture.

Ten works being brought out through this instalment will be released by retired vice chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Dr B M Hegde. The release function will be presided over by the editor of ‘Udayavani’ Kannada daily, T Satish U Pai. Executive editor of ‘Taranga’ Kannada weekly, Sandhya S Pai, will felicitate the authors of these works, informed Dr Na Mogasale, working president of the Sangha and the chief editor of the series.

With the release of the fifth instalment of the series, the series has achieved the milestone of releasing 50 books.  Mogasale, while thanking C K Padival, who has been a permanent sponsor for the monthly ‘Nudinamana’ programme of the Sangha by donating one lac rupees every year to the Sangha, Kannada and culture department of the state government, which has been sanctioning special grants to the Sangha, and Karnataka Bank, which has also been extending financial help to the endeavours of the Sangha, requested  everyone to lend a helping hand to the Sangha in its efforts to constructively contribute to the growth of Kannada language and culture.

Veteran writer, V Ga Nayak, who is the editor of the above series, Yashodhara Karkera, working president of Allamaprabhu Peetha, Belady Vittal Shetty and journalirst, Shekhar Ajekar, were present at the press conference.
