Udupi, Sep 25:  Sr M Linette AC provincial superior, Karnataka province laid the foundation stone for St Cecily’s Girls High School’s Platinum Jubilee Memorial Block on Saturday September 25, here.

Fr Mathew Vas, parish priest, Mother of Sorrows Church, here blessed the occasion. G Shankar of G Shankar Family Trust, Yashpal A Suvarna, president DK and Udupi district Fisheries Federation, Bhaskar Rao Kidiyoor, president PTA, Sr M Shaila AC,  correspondent St Cecily’s Institutions, Sr Rosy Mendonsa AC, principal were present on the occasion.

Bhaskar Rao Kidiyoor welcomed the dignitaries.  Sr Rosy Mendonca proposed the vote of thanks. Devendra Nayak compered the programme.

The block is built in memory of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of St Cecily’s Institutions which was officially started on December 3, 2009 and the grand closing ceremony will be held on December 3, 2010.
