Udupi, Sep 28: “Hajj pilgrimage is compulsory for those who are well-off financially. Despite wealth, if one does not go on Hajj pilgrimage one will not be entitled to the graces of Allah,” said district qazi Bekal Ibrahim Musliar. 

Ibrahim Musliar was speaking after inaugurating the Hajj pilgrims’ training and immunization camp held at Halima Sabju Auditorium, Udyavar, near here, on Tuesday September 28. It was organized by the state Hajj committee for the benefit of Hajj aspirants from across the district. 

“A few religious practices are to be followed to fulfil Hajj pilgrimage. It’s also essential that Hajj aspirants should undergo training to get optimum spiritual bliss from the pilgrimage to Holy Mecca,” he added. Ibrahim Musliar commended the state administration for organizing such programmes for the benefit of Hajj aspirants. 

The state minority development board chairman M B Abubakker conveyed best wishes to the pilgrims. 

Mangalore Al-Ansar chief Mohammed Kamil Salafi and Hoode Arabic College lecturer Adam Saheb were the chief trainers at the Hajj training camp. 

The district health officers administered immunization to 93 pilgrims on the occasion.  

BJP district president Udayakumar Shetty, Badagubettu Credit Cooperative Society chief manager Jayakar Shetty Indrali, state Hajj committee member M Salim Ambagilu, Jamiya Masjid Khatib Moulana Abdul Rahim Khan Shirani, K V Abdul Rehman Razvi, Mohammed Moula, and Budan Basha were present.
