Belthangady: Holy Redeemer Church holds Laudato-si event, honours street sweepers

Belthangady, Aug 29: Most Holy Redeemer Church, Belthangady in collaboration with, parish pastoral council, ICYM Belthangady Unit, Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Holy Redeemer Kannada medium school, and Indian Senior Chamber Belthangady Manjushree Legion, organized 'Laudato – Si' programme on August 28 at Holy Redeemer Church Campus.

The programme was inaugurated by the parish priest Fr Joseph Cardoza, parish priest of Holy Redeemer church, by planting saplings symbolically and addressed the gathering followed by Fr Clifford Pinto, the principal of Holy Redeemer school depicted about the programme and Lancy Pereira the president of Indian Senior Chamber Belthangady Manjushree legion spoke about his love for nature and its importance.

Renny Vas, the headmistress of Holy Redeemer Kannada Medium School addressed the gathering by sharing the motives of environmental importance followed by Aloysius Lobo, the vice president of parish pastoral council and Viyanni D’Souza, the president of ICYM Belthangady unit, addressed the gathering. Pauline Rego, the secretary of parish council was also present.

As a token of respect Youths of ICYM took an initiative and felicitated Civil Workers (street workers) who rendered their selfless service for the betterment of nature. Hard work of every individual related to ICYM was highly appreciated.

All the association members planted saplings to improve life and fulfill the essential needs of mankind. Arwin D’Souza compered the programme.
