Bantwal: Photographer's Association Observes Gandhi Jayanti

Bantwal, Oct 4: Bantwal Taluk Photographer's Association celebrated Gandhi Jayanti at the ashram school here on Saturday October 2.

In a unique gesture, the children of the ashram school inaugurated he celebration. The guests garlanded the photograph of Gandhi.

Speaking on the occasion, social welfare department officer Sharat Kumar said that it is very important to follow Gandhiji's ideals in today's times.

Association president Satish Kumar presided.

On the occasion, various events such as singing, games, dance and other competitions were held for children. The association members too actively participated in the programme. These events were co-ordinated by journalist Mounesh Vishwakarma.

Journalists Shivakumar, Padmanabha Rao, who is also the association former president and school head master Sanjeev among others were present. Association member H K Nayanadu welcomes and secretary Sukumar proposed the vote of thanks.
