Udupi: Bike Hits Bridge - Rider Dies on the Spot

Udupi, Oct 4: In an accident that occurred at Mallar near Kaup here on Sunday October 3, the rider of a bike died on the spot after hitting the bridge.

The deceased has been identified as Ravi (34) hailing from Bangalore. Pillion rider Altaf from Davangere sustained injuries. The accident occurred when the rider tried to avoid a collission onto a vehicle and veered towards the bridge resulting in the hit as a result of losing control on the two-wheeler.

The duo was on their way to Kaup from Majoor. Ravi was working as assistant with the PWD contractor Kishore Kumar for over a year. Kaup police have registered a case.
