Mangalore, Oct 5: Members of Lions Club Mangalore Valencia celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on Saturday October 2 at Sneha Sadan, Gurpur near here. Sneha Sadan is a destitute home for HIV positive patients, both young children and elders alike.
On this occasion, on behalf of the members of the said club, lunch was served to all the 70 inmates of Sneha Sadan.
District public relations officer, Ln Agnel Rodrigues, gave a talk on the life and principles of Gandhiji.
Sneha Sadan in-charge, Fr Antony, club president, Ln John Vas, secretary, Ln Joseph Rego, treasurer, Ln Richard Monteiro, Ln Leslie D’Souza, Ln Lawrence Serrao, Ln Jagadish, Ln Rony Rego, Bhasker, Lester Roario and several others were present on the occasion.
