Mangalore: Microphone Thief Arrested

Mangalore, Oct 21: The Konaje police have arrested a person on grounds of stealing microphones from various mosques on Thursday October 21.

The arrested is Farooq alias Ummar Farroq (20), resident of Sundari Bagh, Ullal. He stands accused of having stolen several microphones from mosques in Mangalore and all over Dakshina Kannada district. The police have seized 34 microphones, each worth Rs 1 lac.

Konaje police officers Sunil B Pateel and ASI Raghavan Nair and police personnel Chandrashekar N Bhaskar, Rajesh, Rohith Kumar, Suresh Gowda, Annappa, U R D’Souza and Umesh conducted the investigations under the guidance of assistant police commissioner of Panambur Putta Maddayya and Mangalore Rural Inspector Lingappa Poojary.
