Bantwal: Anniversary Celebrations of Yakshaloka Conclude

Bantwal, Oct 21: The valedictory ceremony of ‘Yakshaharsha,’ the third anniversary celebration of cultural organization ‘Yakshaloka’ was held at Annapoorneshwari Temple, B C Road, on Thursday October 21. 

Temple managing trustee Chandrahas Shetty Bolantoor inaugurated the programme. He said that an individual’s personality development occurs by participating in cultural activities. 

Town councilor B Dinesh Bhandary presided over the programme. 

He said that the need of the hour is to educate the students and youth on cultural values at a time when they are threatened with oblivion.  

State Tulu Sahitya Academy member Sarapady Ashok Shetty, contractor Pramod Kumar, Lions Club president Damodar B M, South Kanara Photographers’ Association – Bantwal taluk president Satish Kumar, district Daf Association president Abdul Latif Neralekatte, and taluk Working Journalists’ Association president Sandeep Salian were the chief guests who conveyed best wishes for the programme. 

Yakshaloka promoter Pratima Gopal Anchan was also present. 

Dinesh Amin welcomed the gathering and Manju Vittal compered the programme.   

‘Onjila Artapuji’, a Tulu social-comedy, was staged by playwright and director Gopal Kanchan after the stage programme.
