Karkala, Oct 5: The installation of various office bearers of Durgaparameshwari friends club for the year 2021- 22 and giving away unit level awards were held at the auditorium of the sangha at Kuntalagundi. It was presided over by the president of the sangha, Bola Udaya Anchan.

Nandalike Prashanth Poojary took over charge as the president and administered oath to the new office bearers.

Udupi Nehru Yuva Kendra district coordination officer Wilfred D’ Souza administered oath to the new members and said that the friends club is a model family. “The club is leading due to its novel programmes in the district,” he said.

Mundkoor Naniltar Kulal Sangha president Inna Kusha R Moolya, and JCI national trainer Sudhaker Poojary were the guests of honour.

Ex president of the sangha, Abbanadka Sathish Poojary, former president Bola Raghuveer Shetty, Ananda Poojary, Dinesh Poojary Biretto, Suresh Poojary Kasrabailu, Rajesh Kotian, vice president Suresh Abbanadka, joint secretary Pushpa Kulal, treasurer Veena Poojary, ladies organizing secretary Sandhya Shetty, Bhajana Mandali president Sulochana Kotian, secretary Harinakshi Poojary, Vanadurga Swasahaya Sangha president Lalita Acharya and others were present.

Secretary of the sangha Hariprasad Acharya Abbanadka tabled the annual report. Sulochana Kotian sang a prayer. Convener Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary compered the programme. Sandhya Shetty welcomed. Padmashree Poojary introduced the new president. Arati Kumari introduced the new members. Newly elected secretary Suresh Poojary rendered vote of thanks.
