Kasargod: Manjeshwar Artist Wins SCZCC Organized All India Art Contest

Kasargod, Oct 24: Bhavani Shankar Anekal, an artist and resident of Guvedapadpu of Manjeshwar has won national award for his traditional, tribal and folk painting titled “My Mother Lakshmi”.

He had participated in the 24th All India Art Contest held at Raveendra Kala Niketan, Tumkur organized by South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur, affiliated to Union Ministry of Culture. He is the son of late Srinivas Anekal and Lakshmi.

He is also the recipient of national level award for his painting named “Saraswati” earlier.
