Bantwal: DC Subodh Yadav Convenes Meeting with Department Officers

Bantwal, Oct 27: Subodh Yadav, the newly-appointed deputy commissioner (DC) of Dakshina Kannada district, on Wednesday October 27, made his first visit to the taluk headquarters after assuming office and convened a meeting with the officers of various departments.

Yadav held an open discussion with the various department officers including revenue and police. He urged mutual co-operation in facing any future difficulties.

Tahsildar Ravichandra Nayak drew the attention of Yadav to the proposal of constructing a mini-Vidhan Soudha in the taluk centre of B C Road and said there was lacks of a spacious, vacant government
plot. Meanwhile, Yadav suggested that the Tahsildar review the issue.

Bantwal circle inspector Nanjunde Gowda explained the recurring communal flare-ups in the taluk, illegal sand mining, and difficulties in maintaining law and order.

The officers of the state-run electricity provider Mescom and town council explained the difficulties faced by the ongoing four-lane conversion work.

Assistant commissioner (AC) Prabhulinga Kavalakatti, taluk panchayat CEO Vasantraj Shetty, and various department officers were present.

The DC also heard the grievances of various department officers over the shortage of staff in taluk health department, block education office, town council, backward classes department, plantations department, and others. He also assured them that he would convince the state administration of the need to appoint more staff for better governance.
