Vijayapura: Yatnal challenges detractors to expose CD against him, files complaint

Vijayapura, Oct 16: MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, challenged those who are reportedly trying to subdue him by threatening to release a CD showing him in poor light, to release the CD without delay. He said he cannot be politically mauled with such threats.

"I know people who are behind this threat. All of them will face adverse consequences in future. I always speak against corruption and in support of Hindutva. My stand creates discomfort in these people. People of different parties have joined hands in making a photo viral. There are CD manufacturing factories owned by one person each from the BJP and the Congress, about which I had talked about on January 14 this year. No one can deprive me of the opportunity in my political career. Many workers keep making video calls to me to speak to me by looking at me in the morning and during these periods, someone would have taken the screen shots when I was having food or was lying down," he explained.

In the meantime, on behalf of Yatnal, Vijayapura Urban Development Authority member, Laxman Jadhav, filed a complaint in the CEN police station here, saying that a post which claims that there is countdown for the release of CD involving Yatnal along with his photo has been posted in an Instagram account titled ‘Namma Congress’. The post also wishes the event a grand success, the complaint says.
