Karkala: Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, National Unity Day celebrated

Karkala, Nov 1: “Sardar Vallabhghai Patel, herald of unity, known as the iron man due to his bold decisions, had devoted his life for the unity and independence of our country. He became a model working sincerely for the unity and progress of the country after the independence. His principles are alive even today,” said Belman JCI president Veenesh Ameen.

He was speaking as the chief guest in the birth anniversary celebrations of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and National Unity Day held by Nehru Yuva Kendra Udupi, Nandalike Abbanadka Durgaparameshwari Friends club and JCI Belman at Kuntalagundi on Sunday October 31.

President of the Sangha, Prashanth Poojary offered floral tributes to the picture of the late leader and lit the lamp.

Stage artiste, district Rajyotsava awardee Nandalike Hariprasad, Nandalike Abbanadka Friends club former president Rajesh Kotian, Abbanadka Sathish Poojary, Udaya Anchan, member Suresh Abbanadka, Harish Poojary, Sudarshan Salian, Keerthan Kumar, Sandhya Shetty, Lalitha Acharya, Arati Kumari, Veena Poojary, Pushpa Kulal, Sulochana Kotian, Padmashree Poojary, Ashwini Prabhaker, Harinakshi Poojary, Ashwini Prashanth and others were present.

Abbanandka Sandeep V Poojary compered the programme. Kasrabailu Suresh Poojary rendered vote of thanks.

    I am extremely Happy to Remember and Honour our very Dear Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, A really Great Man. If he was allowed to act as our then Home Minister, our disputed " Kashmir " would not have been a Problem ? Sorry, our bad luck as we continue to have now !!!
