Udupi: Political Science School Inaugurated

Udupi, Dec 5: As part of taking political science awareness to the every nook and corner of the village, a new concept ‘Political Science School’ was inaugurated at Mahajana Hall of Kidiyoor Hotel here on Saturday December 4.

Senior Jouralist M V Kamath inaugurated the programme and said that corruption in politics has made the nation embarrassed. Sacrifice mindset among the politicians is in dilemma. This has put the nation in dark. This was not the case in pre-independence India, he added.

Adding further he said that during 1950 election cost which stood at the minimum amount of Rs 10,000 now reached Rs 2 cr. He asserted that Bihar poll result shows that secular principles always stay strong.

Prof Madhava Acharya was the chief guest.

Belur Raghava Shetty, president of Political Science Unit, Kokkarne Surendranath Shetty, assistant secretary among others were present.

Harish Naik, member of the committee delivered vote of thanks. Sneha Bhat compered the programme.
