Mangalore: Thief Arrested - Nine Laptops Recovered

Mangalore, Dec 12: City south police have arrested one and seized nine laptops stolen by him from various parts of the city.

The arrested has been identified as Umar Farooque alias Mangal Singh (45), a resident of Chokkabettu, Suratkal. On a tip-off, DCIB sub-inspector M C Ramegowda and his subordinates apprehended when he was selling the stolen articles near Town Hall here. 

On interrogation, he confessed to have stolen articles from various part of the city and soon arrested. The arrested has been produced to the local court.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of inspector Thilakchandra.
