Mangalore, Dec 13: Fr Maxim Rosario, administrator, St Joseph’s Seminary, inaugurated and blessed the renovated Maria Jayanti hall of Jeppu parish after the morning mass on Sunday December 12.

Rector Fr Joseph Martis of St Joseph’s Seminary, and Sr Emma, superior, Infant Mary Convent, Jeppu, were the chief guests on the occasion.

Jeppu parish Young Christian Students (YCS) unit, which bagged second place in YCS Vaibhav programme held at Bijai parish, and first place in Konkan Daiz programme held at Vamanjoor parish recently, was felicitated as well as the members of Jeppu Kala Sangama who bagged the championship at the cricket tournament held at Milagres grounds to mark their tri-centenary celebrations, recently.

Meanwhile, Gladys Lorena, a Jeppu parishioner who bagged first place in the recently held Gulf Voice of Mangalore competitions in Dubai, was also felicitated on the occasion.

Jeppu parish priest Fr Andrew D’Souza was also present on the dais. Pameela Santos, secretary, Jeppu parish council, compered the programme.
