Udupi: Foundation Stone Laid for Renovation of Kaup Moorane Marigudi Temple

Udupi, Dec 15: Ni Bi Vijay Ballal, managing trustee, Janardhan Mahakali Temple, Ambalapady, laid the foundation stone for developing the Moorane Mariyamma Temple, Kaup, here on Tuesday December 15. Moorane Mariyamma Temple will be constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore on the existing site of the Moorane Marigudi Temple by demolishing it.

Speaking on the occasion, Ballal said that the residents of Kaup locality have been seeking the graces of Goddess Mariyamma since ancient times. “The temple development work will provide modern amenities for the benefit of a large number of devotees,” he added.

Kaup MLA Lalaji R Mendon, temple managing trustee Sridar Shenoy, Hosa Marigudi Temple governing committee president Nadikere Ratnakar Shetty, entrepreneur Sridar Shetty, building committee
president Shashidar Shetty, M Jayaram Hegde, Srikar Shetty Kalya, Dr Prabhakar Shetty, KMF former chairman Divakar Shetty, and social worker Leeladhar Shetty Kaup were present on the occasion.

Dr Prabhakar Shetty welcomed the gathering. Shashidar Shetty proposed the vote of thanks. Nirmal Kumar Hegde compered the programme.

    dear daiji-there are factual errors here. hale mariamma temple is different from moorane mariamma temple. title is incorrect.
