Mangalore: Beary Talent Contest Tests Mettle of Primary, High School Students

Mangalore, Dec 16: The taluk-level Beary talent competitions for primary and high schools was held, under the aegis of the Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy and office of the Dakshina Kannada zilla
panchayat block education officer, at Al Badriya English Medium School, Krishnapura, Suratkal, on Thursday December 16.

Mayor Rajani Dugganna inaugurated the event on Thursday morning. Karnataka Beary Sahitya Academy president M B Abdul Rehman presided over the programme.

Suratkal parish priest Fr Anthony D Lobo, corporator Tilakraj Krishnapura, block education officer Rajalaxmi, and taluk Primary Teachers' Association president Abdusamad were the chief guests on
the occasion.

Painting and elocution cometitions, skits, mimicry, and discussions were held.

Prizes were distributed to the winners by National Institute of Technology – Karnataka dean Dr G Sriniketan during the valedictory ceremony held on Thursday evening.

Corporator Guljar Banu, Venkataramana Higher Primary School headmaster K K Pejavara, and Al Badriya English Medium School head teacher Gunavati Ramesh were the other guests.
