Udupi, Dec 18: Datta Jayanti celebrations will be held at Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra, Harikhandige to be followed by a grand palanquin procession in the evening of Monday December 20 .
Ayut Chandi Mahayaag from Jan 7
Very soon, Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra is also going to witness a month-long grand religious ritual, the Ayut Chandi Mahayaag which begins on January 7, while hundreds of priests and vaidiks from Karnataka, Goa and Maharashtra are expected to take part in the mahayaag, which concludes with a Mahapurnahuti on February 6, 2011.
All devotees are invited to avail of this golden opportunity participating wholeheartedly.
This yaag's aim is social unification and promotion of friendship.
Also, a two-day conference of vaidiks and priests will be held on January 29 and 30, 2011, at the Devi Kshetra, to discuss various issues pertaining to the religion and customs.
