Mumbai: Minister Narayana Gowda condoles the death of Lata Mangeshkar

Mumbai, Feb 7: Karnataka minister of youth empowerment and sports Dr K C Narayana Gowda has condoled the death of Dada Saheb Phalke awardee, Padmabhooshan, Bharath Rathna, singing legend Lata Mangeshkar.

He recalled that he had participated in the singing events and visited the singer, when he was the entrepreneur, president of Okkaliga Sangha Maharashtra and Jayalaxmi cooperative credit society. “Lata was an excellent scholar of music witnessed by the world. She was an asset of Hindustani music and her passing away is a huge loss for the country,” he stated.

“It is shocking and tragic for music fans. I pray for the repose of her soul,” stated minister Narayana Gowda.
