Mangalore, Jan 3 (DHNS): On account of Kadri temple fair, Mallika Kala Vrinda in Mangalore will organise 61st religious and cultural programmes in the temple premises from January 15 to 25.
Speaking with media persons here on Thursday, Mallika Kala Vrinda Executive President Sudhakar Rao Pejavar said that 2000 performers from 96 teams will take part in the 10 days event. Acheivers from various field will be felicitated on the occasion.
A programme called Sowra Bala Yaksha will be introduced this year where Yakshagana will be performed by children. A women troup also has registered to perform Yakshagana, he said.
Meanwhile, he also asked the interested school students to participate in Daasara Geethe and Bhagavadgeethe recital contests that will be organised as a part of the temple fair on January 16.
