Udupi, Jan 6: Dr Chandrashekhar, senior specialist, took over charge as the surgeon of the district hospital here recently.
Before being designated to the above post, he was functioning as the senior medical specialist in the district government hospital. He takes over after the death of earlier district surgeon Dr Dayanand Nayak.
It can be recalled here that Dr Nayak (55) who had been serving at the district hospital here since 5 years passed away in December last.
