Mangalore: Xavier Educational Trust Celebrates Benefactor’s Day

 Mangalore, Jan 7: Xavier Educational Trust celebrated Benefactor’s Day at Lobo’s River View, Morgan Gate, here recently.


Fr Ossie Mascranhas was the main celebrant of the thanksgiving service.   Fr Stany Miranda and Fr J Tauro were the co -celebrants.

 J J V Fernandez, chairman of the trust welcomed the gathering. Trustee Dr Rajesh D’Souza read out the report.  F M Lobo, secretary gave the floral welcome to the benefactors present.

 The well- known trade union leader Michael Fernandes, Justice Michael Saldanha, retired Justice of the high court of Karnataka and Allen Periera and former chairman and managing director of Bank of Maharashtra were the guests of honour.

The guests paid a glowing tribute to the trustees and their foresight in making Xavier’s Industrial Training Centre, an Institution of repute which makes a difference in the lives of thousands of poor students, irrespective of religion and caste.

Fr Stany Miranda proposed a vote of thanks.  Principal Sudhir Raj Kotian was also present on the occasion. Bhasker Kukkevalli and Verina Lobo Compered.
