Kolar: Four people, six officials, booked for issuing fake death certificate

Kolar, Mar 14: Ten people including officials and others are facing a case in which they have been accused of issuing a fake death certificate. The person mentioned in the said death certificate is alive

The revenue officials had suffered loss of reputation sometime back after it was proved that they had issued a death certificate in the name of a man who was alive and kicking. Now, they have been accused of creating fake documents to show that a woman who is alive, had died. On the basis of these fake documents, her land was sold. This is the second time the officials from the district are facing such a case.

A case stands registered in Mulbagal town police station against accused M Bhagyalaxmi, Krishnappa, Anasyuamma and her son Laxipathi K, Anand Kumar K, tahsildar K N Rajashekhar, Sirastedar, Sampath Kumar, inspector, Sadat Ullah Khan, village accountant Arvind and Suloochanamma in the case.
