Kundapur: 125th Swacchata Abhiyana of Clean Kundapur Project held

Kundapur, Mar 14: “Only when we start having concern for nature from the four walls of our house, it is possible to save environment,” said renowned environmentalist Dinesh Holla.

Holla was speaking after partaking in the 125th Swacchata Abhiyan held under the leadership of Clean Kundapur project at Kodi sea beach. He further said, “Those who throw waste at sea beach are not fit to be called as human beings. All are not real tourists. The number of people visiting beaches for fun and parties is increasing. This results in increase of natural disasters. We blame government and the system. What is our role is conserving nature?

“Because of Western Ghats the living species of south India has got life. Otherwise there is no doubt that even they will perish.”

Holla appreciated the organizations that take the responsibility of cleaning the beaches.

Deputy conservator of forest of Kundpur Dr Ashish Reddy, senior lawyer A S N Hebbar, orthopedician Dr Durga Prasad, officers and staff of Gangolli coastal patrol force, Kenchanur Somashekhar Shetty of National highway movement, Ramesh Rao of Bengaluru, Venkatesh and Dinesh of FSL, Saraswati Ganesh Puthran, president of Lions Club Kundapur Amritdhara, Ashalatha Shetty, Ganesh and members of Kundapur Sunrise Rotary club, Ganesh Puthran of Railway passengers’ welfare committee, Bhaskar Poojary, Pundalik Bangera and volunteers of Clean Kundapur project were present.
