Kundapur, Mar 15: After a private bus hit a motorbike at Cheenaberu near Hennabail, Siddapura, on Monday March 14, the bike rider died on the spot.
Theaccident happened on the state highway. The bike rider has been identified as a resident of Konandur in Thirthahalli taluk, Shivamogga district even though his name could not be ascertained immediately. He was moving towards Konandur from Malpe when a private bus going to Udupi from Shivamogga knocked him down. Bus passengers claimed that the private bus which was moving at high speed directly hit the motorbike at Cheenaberu.
Personnel of Shankaranarayana police station visited the spot, scrutinized the accident spot and registered a case.
