Shivamogga, Mar 16: The body of Annappa (33), son of Ramappa, a resident of Shirur Alalli within Marathur gram panchayat limits in Sagar taluk in the district, was found hanging from a tree inside the Acacia plantation next to the helipad of the town on Tuesday March 15.

Annappa, it is learnt, used to repair motors. She happened to be the BJP booth unit president of Shirur-Alalli area. On Monday he had left his home with the stated purpose of undertaking motor repair. Thereafter he had not returned home.

In a complaint filed in Sagar rural police station, elder brother of Annappa, Raghavendra, has urged the police to undertake detailed probe into his brother's death, duly suspecting that Annappa would have been killed either relating to loan repayment or because of personal enmity.
