Mangaluru: Short circuit inflicts Rs 10 lac loss on furniture showroom

Mangaluru, Mar 21: A furniture showroom, 'Baba furniture' owned by Prashanth Suvarna at Thokottu Chembugudde caught fire due to a short circuit during the late night on Saturday March 19.

Smoke began to billow out of the said furniture showroom after it was closed down for the day. Even though the fire brigade personnel, supported by the locals, tried to extinguish the fire, they failed in their objective. The loss due to fire has been estimated at ten lac rupees.

The show room was located in the building of the local mosque for the last several years. A report of the incident was registered in Ullal police station.
